By accessing or using Portent (“the Service”), available at portent.ai (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Portent is an AI-powered intelligence platform that:
— Ingests publicly available signals from multiple data sources (Reddit, SEC EDGAR, arXiv, Wikipedia, Google Trends, Product Hunt, and others)
— Scores and ranks signals using AI models
— Generates personalized daily intelligence briefs tailored to your professional role, city, industry, and skills
— Provides a signal explorer, prediction tracking, and brief archive
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
Account Creation
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Account Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@portent.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
One Account Per Person
Each account is for individual use only. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations.
Free Tier
The free tier provides access to one (1) intelligence signal per daily brief. Free tier access is provided indefinitely subject to these Terms and our right to modify the Service.
Paid Plans
Paid plans (Intelligence at $49/month, Alpha at $149/month) are available by subscription. Paid plans provide access to additional signals, email delivery, full brief history, and other features as described on portent.ai.
Billing
— Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
— Payment is processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
— All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated
— Prices may change with 30 days notice to your registered email address
Free Trial
Where a free trial is offered, it will be clearly stated at signup. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Settings or by contacting support@portent.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the period ends.
Refunds
We offer refunds at our discretion within 7 days of a charge if you have not generated a paid brief during that period. To request a refund, contact support@portent.ai. Refunds are not provided for partial months or where the Service has been actively used.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. After repeated failures, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. We will notify you by email before downgrading.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Prohibited Activities
— Violate any applicable law or regulation
— Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service using automated tools without our written permission
— Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the intelligence content generated by Portent without a commercial license agreement
— Share your account credentials with others or allow third-party access to your account
— Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
— Use the Service to generate content intended to manipulate financial markets
— Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
— Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its servers
— Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any connected systems
— Use the Service in any manner that could create liability for Portent or harm other users
API Usage
If you are granted API access (Alpha plan), you may use our API solely for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell API access or build competing intelligence products using our API without a separate commercial agreement.
Nature of Content
Portent provides AI-generated intelligence briefs based on publicly available signals. The content is for informational and research purposes only.

THE INTELLIGENCE BRIEFS, SIGNALS, AND RECOMMENDED ACTIONS PROVIDED BY PORTENT DO NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL ADVICE, INVESTMENT ADVICE, LEGAL ADVICE, TRADING RECOMMENDATIONS, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. YOU SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, OR BUSINESS DECISION BASED SOLELY ON PORTENT CONTENT WITHOUT CONDUCTING YOUR OWN INDEPENDENT RESEARCH AND, WHERE APPROPRIATE, CONSULTING A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, signals are derived from public sources and processed by AI. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any intelligence content. Prediction accuracy figures (such as “84%”) represent historical averages and are not guarantees of future performance.
Signal Sources
Signals are derived from publicly available information. We do not have access to non-public information. Nothing in the Service should be construed as insider information or material non-public information.
Third-Party Content
Some signals reference third-party sources (Reddit, SEC filings, academic papers, etc.). We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party content. Links to third-party sources are provided for reference only.
Our Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and AI models, is owned by Portent and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written consent.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you provide to us (such as your profile information and feedback). By providing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to provide and improve the Service.
Intelligence Briefs
The personalized intelligence briefs generated for you are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share individual insights for personal or professional communication but may not republish, resell, or distribute briefs in bulk.
Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use that feedback without obligation to you.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at portent.ai/privacy. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Google (authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), and others listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KATOSHI LTD., ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Portent and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
Upon termination:
— Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
— We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
— Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at support@portent.ai to resolve any dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve complaints within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the Israeli Arbitration Authority, conducted in English, in Tel Aviv, Israel. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes with us individually and waive any right to bring or participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
EU/UK Users
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring a claim before your local courts and consumer protection authorities. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable EU or UK consumer protection law.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Portent regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet infrastructure failures.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and/or a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
